Content protection for mobile video delivery

Cypher Mobile™ extends Widevine Cypher® to protect content delivered over a mobile network. A single Widevine system can protect both mobile and fixed-line video deployments. Since operators can use an existing Cypher solution to protect both traditional and mobile video deployments, this saves them the cost of deploying separate systems and streamlining head-end video preparation for multiple networks.

Cypher Mobile’s selective encryption makes it possible to distribute content over any of the major mobile broadcast-based standards including FLO, DVB-H, T-DMB, S-DMB, ISDB-T and OMA, while offering the optional ability to secure push/pull VOD. A small footprint Virtual SmartCard client keeps processor requirements low for integration the widest range of mobile platforms.

As demand for distributing premium broadcast and video-on-demand content to mobile devices grows, Cypher Mobile can enable seamless acquisition and distribution of premium studio and broadcaster content that attracts subscribers.
