Brian Baker, Chief Executive Officer
Brian Baker oversees Widevine Technologies’ business strategy, financing, development and technology. Baker is the sole and/or co-author of three issued and seven pending international patents in the content security field. He founded Widevine Technologies in May 1999 and subsequently raised over $62 million in venture financing. Baker is Widevine's primary interface to the major motion picture studios and broadcasters. During his tenure, Widevine has emerged into the world's most deployed content protection system for telecommunication video services. Prior to the creation of Widevine, Baker held a business development position at Advanced Radio Technologies, a developer of microwave broadband technologies and services. Baker holds a degree from the University of Washington School of Business with a concentration in Computer Science and Finance.

Glenn Morten, Executive Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer
Glenn Morten brings to Widevine more than twenty-one years of experience in product development leadership roles. At Widevine, Glenn has led content protection and digital forensics innovations from initial product release through multiple generations. Morten serves on the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS). Under his direction Widevine won the 2006 and 2007 Cable & Satellite International Product of the Year Award for Best Content Protection. Prior to joining Widevine he was Vice President of Development for CyberSafe Corporation where he developed e-security.

Previously, Morten was Director of Development at Spacelabs Medical specializing in wireless, internet and connectivity. Morten held various leadership roles for Abbott Laboratories and Texas Instruments and served as an officer in the US Army. He holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from West Virginia University and a Master of Science in systems management from the University of Southern California. Morten holds 10 issued patents for next generation DRM and Session Based Watermarking. He is an inventor of numerous pending patents.

Jeremy Horwitz, Vice President of Security Research and Co-founder
Mr. Horwitz leads Widevine's R&D efforts in security and cryptography. In the past, he has built new cryptographic models for AT&T Research and worked for Microsoft in both development and research capacities, including contributions to ScanDisk and Windows DVD support. His research work at Microsoft concentrated on software piracy issues and cryptographic theory. Jeremy's published papers cover the development of cryptographic models, the construction of cryptographic protocols, and the analysis of known protocols. Jeremy holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, a Master's degree in Mathematics from Carnegie-Mellon University, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University.

Douglas A. Light, Vice President of Business Development
Doug Light joined Widevine in 2005 and is responsible for business development. He brings over 30 years of domestic and international experience selling to MSOs, satellite delivered service providers, RBOCs and PTTs worldwide. Prior to joining Widevine he spent 16 years with Motorola/General Instrument/Next Level Communications and 15 years with Scientific Atlanta in various sales, management and business development roles. Light's experience includes management of strategic partners, distribution channels, agents and OEM manufacturers. He holds a degree in engineering from Capitol Radio Engineering Institute.

Mike Petrocelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales
Mike Petrocelli joined Widevine in 2003 and is responsible for overseeing global sales activities. Petrocelli brings more than 10 years of experience in sales and sales management in the technology and telecommunications industries. Prior to Widevine, Petrocelli held senior sales roles at Irdeto Access and AT&T. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

John Petrocelli, Vice President, Internet TV, Sales and Business Development
With 10 years in the digital media market space, John has been instrumental in helping major media companies establish optimal strategies to distribute, protect and monetize their content. Some of these media companies and brands include: the NBA, The NHL, Versus, NBC/Universal, Discovery, Intel, EMI, and Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame Member, Prince. In 2007, John led the digital store launch of NBCU’s “VIP Access” featuring premium content offerings from NBCU’s broadcast properties as well as the NBA’s playoff download service. He has held leadership positions with Entriq, Akamai, AT&T and co-founded Millennium Productions with partners from the MIT Media Lab.

Jim Veres, Vice President of Mobile Engineering
Jim Veres heads Widevine's Mobile Solutions Engineering team, exploring upcoming technology for Widevine's mobility products. Veres's team works with mobile device and portable player vendors to incorporate next generation content protection from Widevine into these devices and to produce the most secure, cost effective and easy to use media solutions for receiving content. With more than 20 years of engineering experience, Veres brings immense value to the Widevine team.

Veres comes from Microsoft Corp., where he was a DirectX Group Manager in the Windows Operating System division. In this role Veres managed teams producing application programming interfaces to enable highly interactive multi-user content. Prior to Microsoft Veres was VP of Engineering at Alliant Computer participating in and directing the development of Alliant's unique parallel processing minisupercomputers. Veres began his career at Data General where he helped design Data General's first 32-bit minicomputer; the MV/8000 as immortalized in Tracy Kidder's Pulitzer Prize winning book "The Soul Of A New Machine". He holds nine issued patents and earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Matt Cannard, Vice President of Marketing
As Vice President of Marketing, Matt has global responsibility for all Widevine marketing initiatives. His worldwide role encompasses product management and marketing, channel marketing and marketing communications—as well as directing all of Widevine’s regional marketing groups in North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Matt brings fifteen years of management and entrepreneurial experience to his role.

Prior to Widevine, he held senior marketing management roles at WatchGuard Technologies, where he was responsible for an $80M product line and prior to that in a consultative role with Microsoft Corp. Matt is a serial entrepreneur most recently cofounding and successfully raising capital for a leading internet software services company. He is an international speaker on content security for digital media and IP content protection technologies and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.

Jason Davis, Vice President of Finance
Jason Davis joined Widevine in January 2001 bringing more than 15 years of experience in finance and accounting in the high-tech and telecommunications industries. Prior to Widevine, Davis was responsible for financial and tax reporting, public filings and management of the Finance groups during periods of rapid revenue, customer and employee growth at Active Voice Corporation (subsequently acquired by Cisco), a leading provider in unified messaging and telephony; and Envision Telephony, a provider of software solutions focusing on call centers and workforce management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in business and accounting from the University of Washington and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Mani Aliabadi, General Counsel
Mani Aliabadi joined Widevine in March 2005 as the head of Widevine's legal department focused on corporate and intellectual property law. His background includes corporate, intellectual property and litigation experience. At Widevine, Aliabadi leads a legal group responsible for the management and oversight of corporate governance, mergers/acquisitions, business development activities, intellectual property protection and licensing, regulatory compliance, risk and litigation management. Prior to Widevine, Aliabadi served as corporate counsel for a software security and publishing firm based in Los Angeles and at Microsoft in intellectual property licensing for Xbox games. Aliabadi holds a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law and is licensed to practice in Washington and California.
